TL;DR — In 30 seconds

  • Giffy summarises its values in five words: transparent, ambitious, sustainable, sincere, and flexible.

  • The experience for the recipient and taking the burden off the sender are key.

  • Freedom of choice for the recipient avoids waste: no gifts that end up unused.

  • Transparency means honest advice — even if that results in a different choice than the customer initially thought.

We summarise our values in five words: transparent, ambitious, sustainable, sincere, and flexible. In this blog, I will show what those words mean in practice.

💡 Why Giffy is writing this

Giffy builds gift card infrastructure for businesses. We believe in a transparent value chain — from issuer to recipient. This blog makes our values tangible, so you know where you stand when you work with us.

Our five core values

  • Transparent — we share our insights, report figures, and give honest advice.

  • Ambitious — we have big plans and are not afraid to take a leap.

  • Sustainable — we are improving the gift card market with a fairer alternative.

  • Sincere — we want the recipient to feel genuinely appreciated and the customer to be satisfied with the entire process.

  • Flexible — we think along to find suitable solutions and act quickly.

Recipient and sender are central

In our pitch, it comes together like this: the experience for the recipient and taking the burden off the sender are key. We believe it is important that the recipient feels genuinely appreciated and, through freedom of choice, selects a gift that suits them. For the sender, organising and sending should be as simple as possible.

That is why we set up a dedicated environment for them where everything is already configured. With just a few clicks, an appreciation is sent, automatically if they wish, or we take care of it entirely for larger orders.

Sustainable through freedom of choice

Because the freedom of choice lies with the recipient, we immediately avoid part of our impact on the planet. No more gifts are given that end up unused because they did not quite fit. We relieve the sender of the burden of finding a suitable gift, thereby directly relieving the planet too.

Transparency means honest advice

Our transparency means we answer truthfully in order to give the right advice. For example, does a customer choose one fixed card because "everyone can use it"? Then we can show that on average only about 18% actually choose that card, and that a card is used *more* as more options are available. These options also include sustainable and donation choices, which recipients often spend their remaining balance on.

And because genuine appreciation sometimes also requires something tangible, we offer options for that too: a personal handwritten card, a complete Christmas package, a Christmas market, or branded items. All our appreciation options are fully white-label. This contributes to the sincerity towards the recipient, as they immediately see that it comes from their own employer, with a personal message included.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Giffy's core values?

Transparent, ambitious, sustainable, sincere, and flexible. These values translate into honest advice, freedom of choice for the recipient, and taking the burden off the sender.

How does freedom of choice make a gift card more sustainable?

Because the recipient chooses for themselves, fewer gifts go unused. Remaining balances can also be spent on sustainable or donation options.

What does white-label mean at Giffy?

White-label means that the appreciation is completely in the employer's corporate identity, with a personal message — so the recipient immediately sees who it comes from.
